Today I decided to do something different to help me change my thought process from a very negative low to positive thoughts. My search lead me here. Looking for positive reinforcements in positive stories and positive thinking. I too have an on going injury which I struggle to keep my thoughts, heart and spirit upbeat and moving forward not allowing myself to be consumed by the negative thought process leading to my self-distructive behavior which I seem to harbor. I have been in a battle to save my life, not only over come a catastrophic injury, however learn to accept and live with it. Its the most difficult challange I have ever “faced” long term in my life. I’m very thankful for coming across such wonderful positive stuff …

I’m 83 yrs. young I believe in P.M.A. Positive Memtal Attitude!! I feel great when I get up in the morning. I also look for the humor side of life along with the positive. When you let life negative thoughts control get rid of them like I like to say “Grin & bear it I can’t bear it I’ll Jus Grin”

On Sept. 6, 2009 at 7:01pm I wrote and said how important this site was to me because I would lose site of the things that made the difference in a positive way.
It is over one year later and positive thoughts DID make the difference in my life. When things go wrong I still wonder why but the reasoning is different. I now “know” and not just “think” that this is just a situation I need to get through because something great or what I need is on the other side. Thinking positively helped me make the decision to get married again. I am grateful and pleased that I learned from all the people who have shared their lives so I could understand mine better. I am now 53 and never happier. Thanks.
Many happy returns,
Carolyn

Just a note to say I am so happy you are sharing the positivity of the world with so many. I post positive quotes daily on my Facebook site and exude happiness and energy whenever possible. It should be no surprise to you that people feed off of it. Once, I posted a brief comment that said: “…feeling kind of crappy today” the response from my “friends” was unbelieveable. WHAT’S WRONG? HOW CAN I HELP? ARE YOU OK? were just some of the comments I received, along with a few phone calls from concerned friends checking in on me. I quickly realized that people feed off of my positive quotes and even notice some of my “friends” and family members being more positive in their attitude. How this can be anything more than the most valuable, loving, ispirational act every day is beyond me. Thank you and keep it coming!

Hello, I was browsing trying to find some kind of “positive” and came upon this site. So glad I did because right now in my life there is so much doubt and anxiety in me. Feeling down and I question myself all the time, don’t feel I am doing anything right.. Coming to this site and reading all the wonderful stories and so much positivity in them just makes me smile and believe that I am a good person and have so much to gain, and be happy for. Thank you, and I will be coming back to read the encouraging quotes here!!! :) Thank you again -Tara

Thank you so much Tara for that note. Don’t ever doubt yourself, you are exactly where you need to be, trust the process, trust your own guidance. We all have so much more potential than we will ever know. There’s so much to be grateful for.
Don’t stop smiling!

Hi Lucy,
There’s something that catched my attention when i’m about to close this page and it pushed me to write my thoughts for awhile:
A part of Carolyn Leger’s statement “Instead of going right I would go left…”
If you have noticed I mentioned in my comment lately that I am making big (and ridiculous) decisions today. I’ve been thinking a lot in the past few days if the decision I am going to make today will be the “right thing”. Today is the day but I still feel heavy inside. As a person, I have also flaws and weaknesses but in making decisions in my whole life i have always tried to choose right over left as well as right over wrong, no matter what the cost. What troubled me is that i know decided the “wrong thing” but it’s the only thing i know i can do at the moment that is helpful to make things right in the future. I am so hanged-up with many uncertainties today that i need to take risk… I need to do it. It might be contrary to what I i want. It might be contrary to some people’s conviction, but i understand myself that i just need to do it and my conscience is clear. I am not sure where this decision will lead me, but i’m hoping, really still hoping that someday i will realize that i’m still at the right track. By God’s grace, I believe I will.
Thanks for your time and thanks for this page Lucy.

Hi Dave,
I hope everything is going well for you. I just read your comment and it felt like you read my mind and wrote my thoughts down for me. The way you feel is exactly how I felt 2 and a half years ago when I was about to make the biggest decision in my life- choosing my life partner. Now we have been married for 2 years and its the best decision I have made in my life. I hope your decisions turn out to be good for you.

Good Luck,
Christine

I just want to share something. When I was in college, I was full of positive views and thoughts about life. I was very much eager to face tomorrow, because of the people around me. I was optimistic then. In fact, I was the one who gave positives views to my friends… Suddenly, when I graduated and during the time we were finding a job, my positive views depleted. And, I don’t know how to recover myself from this occurence. I just want to sit down and rest all the time. I feel restless. I feel down. Help me to regain my positive views about life. I am desperate to have it back… Thank you so much.

hey..just chill and sit down to read it peacefully.everything that happens in life is for some cause.i have always beleived it.problems do come in every one’s life…but with time it gets solved because problem comes to check our patience level..problem arises only when it is meant to be solved. keep smiling and leave some part of the problem on tym..my best friend applied for many jobs..but he could get none.he had lost all his patience..kept worrying..and finally he stopped thinking about the job.one day he got a call from a good company for a job.if he would have got the job earlier he would’nt have got into that good company. so i would suggest to not to worry…keep applying for jobs ..hoping your destiny takes a turn.

Hello Antonette:

I kinda went through a smiliar experience like you. I graduated from college with a BA this past May. I used to be a student worker at my campus. My last day of work could have been May 14, but decided to stop on April 30 because I was not happy working there. Since then until September, I suffered financial hardship, no income coming in. I cried, I was angry, frustrated, unhappy, hit my rolled up yoga mat as a punching bag, and even the walls, I was desperate; I really went down the drain. During that time I applied to jobs to get some income coming in, but nothing happened. Thankfully, because I knew a person in an interview panel, in which I called to ask how I did on my interview after being rejected for the position I applied, I got a job.

After that experience I grew stronger as a person. Arsiya is completely right, things happen for a reason, and I always have that in mind. I believe I went through that experience to help me become stronger, and it was a test of my patience, determination and perseverance, and if I really deserve the things I want to have in life. I have learned how to be worry-free, and at this point, I feel I am at a higher level of personal growth where I can feel and smell success.

Best wishes.

I feel like there are times in my life where I lose my inner peace, balance, and serenity. There are times, when I lose track of my happiness. I remember when I was smiling all of the time and laughing all of the time and just so jubilent and happy. I let finances, and education, and work, just take over my soul. I gave my all into those aspects of my life, and little or none to nurturing my spirit, my mental health, and my emotional health. When I visit this site, I am reminded that I can and should take the time at some point every day to think POSITIVE, and really think healthy, warm, loving thoughts for myself. It really boosts my mood and gives me the strength for a moment in time and I really need that. I enjoy taking the lessons from these quotes and reminding the people in my life to think positive. I post them on post it notes on my cubby at work, right behind my laptop. When I am stressing about the job, I see the sticky notes, and I breathe, and I smile.

Thank You :)

The ONLY thing I have ever found to help me pull my self back together no matter what are quotes… It’s amazing how much words can mean, and make you think… No mater the what the issue is good or bad, black or white quotes always send me to a better place mentally…. With so much lifted, and so much comfort added, I am very excited to have the opportunity to enjoy this site…. Thank you, for taking the time to share such a beautiful creation…. I have to share how wonderful this site is. It has become part of my morning routine with my coffee. I do nothing prior to my visit to this site. I don’t check any emails or respond to anything until I have looked at your site. I use the thoughts published and shared here to start my day. I have my own site that I feed off of as well and I tend to use many of the sayings I find here with a link attached so that others can discover this little world you have created.

I am the kind of person that reacts sometimes without thinking and since making a stand to stop doing that, I have found coming here first REALLY helps. I focus on the thought and use that throughout my day. I share with others in what I hope is a non irritating way. I have worked in a world were negativity sucked the life out of me and I needed a change.

I have it and with this web-site, love the way I feel.

Thank you for sharing!

Hiya,

First of all, I adore this site. I have recently had a positive kick where I’ve decided to see onyl what I HAVE and not what I don’t. I love learning new quotes, I carry a cute little quote book around with me and write down ones I hear.

The point is that people look for positivity, though they won’t admit it, but everyone looks for hope. They may not find it as easily as some, but they still try. This site is a little search engine of hope and I really appreciate that. SO TANKS A BILLION!!! XD

Lucy- I really enjoy the positive quotes you share with us. As simple as it sounds, I really look forward to visiting your website every morning and read the quote of the day. I also share the quote with my friends and family, in Spanish. I found the feature on your website that the quotes get translated in many different languages, this is so awesome! My family always looks forward to the positive messages. Thanks for the positive impact you bring to our lives.

Muchas Gracias!

Hi
I am extremely happy to be receiving the quotes again. I share them with my friends, family and employees. You never know when there is something that you say or do that will affect another persons day, week, month or life!!

You are a blessing to many people even though you may not realize it!

Hi Lucy,

I just recently signed up for your emails and am LOVING them! Each quote is so good.

I came across your site while looking up quotes for a gift for my mom. I’m going to compile them all and print them on little slips of paper. The slips will go into a jar that she can open each day and get an inspiring quote–365 of them in one jar to last the year. I think every one I’ve gotten from you so far is going into her jar, so thanks!

Hi Lucy

I thought after all this time of recieving your positive quotes I should write to you. I found your site about a year ago and found this has been so uplifting to me. I lost my mother to breast cancer late last year and found life quite hard at times.

My mother was a very positive uplifting person who saw the good in everything. Every morning I would come to work and there would be some great positive message from you which has helped me through my sad times.

Thanks again Lucy you are not only helping people in your own country but even here in New Zealand.

Kind Regards

Sheree ( Auckland NZ)

Here is a great example of the positive comments we get from subscribers to Positive Attitude Quotes.

“Good morning Lucy,
You realize a lot of us who get these quotes from you depend on you to start our day in a positive way….at least I do and I am not “assuming” this.
I recently lost sight of the mountain let alone the top! Today from your site after reading your quote I realized that I wasn’t focused anymore because of financial reasons. You have always made that little difference to my life. Instead of going right I would go left because I remember something I had read from your site. I appreciate your hard work. Have a good day and thanks again.”
