About Positive Quotes

I’m so thankful to have the mother that I have. Over five years ago, my mom, Lucy, started mailing out positive quotes by email to a few friends, acquaintances, and clients of her counselling private practice. It turned into a simple blog and eventually, as the list started to grow and grow, it became too much to maintain alone. Amy, my sister, and I stepped in to help and took over posting the quotes. My mom came up with the idea to post a photo with each quote and that’s when the viewership of the quotes shot up, who’d a thought! As the demand for positive quotes kept growing we needed a new site that could handle so many responses from people and their need to share their positive and inspiring stories with us and the community. I created a new website www.positiveattitudequotes.com as a launching pad for this community to take place. It’s been such an amazing journey and I’ve never ceased to be amazed at how such a simple act, of posting a positive quote with a photo, could effect so many people around the world.

We just love positive quotes. My mom would always be writing them down when I was younger and then I started doing the same, in a journal, on cue cards, stuck to the bathroom mirror, wherever I could see them. My mom wrote a quote on a cue card for me and stuck it in my bathroom and seeing it there and reading it everyday helped change the course of actions I was taking and truly helped change my path. The quote said:

“You are free to choose, but the choices you make today will determine what you will have, be, and do in the tomorrow of your life.” Zig Ziglar

Positive quotes are little golden nuggets of wisdom – that make me think, challenge my mindset, and many times, help to change my perspective. A positive quote could make the difference between having a good day or a bad day. I’m so happy my mom started this project. She’s been the most inspiring person in my life. Thanks mom.
